Discover the exhibitions of the Musées royaux des Beaux-Arts (Royal Museums of Fine Arts) (Modern Art and Ancient Art sections), the magnificent Musées des Instruments de Musique (Musical Instruments Museums), the Palais des Beaux-Arts (Brussels’ concert hall and fine arts centre) and one of its philharmonic concerts, the permanent collections of the Espace ING, the remains of the old Palais de Charles Quint (Charles V Palace) or the Belvue Museum, housed in the right-hand wing of the Palais royal (Royal Palace).
Activities especially designed for children are also provided in almost every institution. With a good breakfast, it would be a mistake not to get up, even on a Sunday!

Sablon / Marolles
For a spot of Sunday bargain-hunting or a weekend stroll, the Sablon and Marolles districts lend themselves wonderfully, in any event, to enjoyable morning walks. Every Saturday morning, antiques are unpacked on place du Sablon, providing an opportunity to find a coveted treasure there. Lower down, the Marolles and its flea market give you a chance to do some bargain-hunting at your own pace. Between the bric-à-brac traders on the square and the interior decoration shops dotted along rue Haute et Blaes, the choice is very impressive. With a well-earned breakfast or just a cup of coffee on the highly-prized café terraces, all you have to do then is let yourself be swept along by the charm of the streets and the unique atmosphere that prevails there.
