 This brochure contains seven trails, each with an illustrated map, that will help you discover all the institutional and cultural “must-sees” of the capital of the European Union as the fancy takes you and at your own pace, in a simple and enjoyable way, accompanied by typical local experiences.
A special two-part “EUROPE” trail, leading from the Place Royale (where the capital of the EU’s history and culture converge), to the European district (whose institutions you’ll be helped to understand one by one). This trail is followed by trails through five districts of the capital whose special ambiances are particularly appreciated by the Europeans living in Brussels: the GRAND’ PLACE district for traditions; the MAROLLES/SABLON district for flavours; the ST.-GÉRY/DANSAERT district for fashion and design; the ST.-BONIFACE/FLAGEY district for its trendy atmosphere and the HEYSEL district (Atomium, Mini-Europe, etc.) for adventures!
