Gastronomic excellence and value for money are the only criteria taken into account in the award of « Iris » symbols by eight of Brussels’ best known food columnists. The members of the jury have refrained from rating restaurants that have opened too recently, that have changed chef or that need to be reassessed for any other recent change. The same applies to restaurants whose application arrived too late. The work of the critics continues and new Irises will be awarded in the next annual edition of the guide (2006). This initiative is inspired by a constant desire to improve our guide and ensure its growing success in helping to bring to light the choice available to gastronomes and all friends of Brussels.
